This 12-year-old GlenAllachie is bottled for Abbey Whisky, who has already selected lots of high quality sherry whisky before, for example, the well-known GlenDronach 24 Year Old 1993 Cask 652 for their 10th anniversary. In addition, the former owner of Glendronach Distillery, Billy Walker, took over GlenAllachie in 2017. Many whisky drinkers also found that the quality of the whisky has risen. As price of Glendronach whisky becoming more and more expensive, many sherry whisky lovers choose GlenAllachie as a substitute for Glendronach.

Nose: Sweet plum jam,  strong freshness sherry, with toasted bread in the background

Palate: Dark chocolate, cocoa, dried fruits, raisins, orange peel, fruit cakes and spices

Finish: Rich, sherry and dark chocolate remains present, then fruity sweetenss and pleasant bitterness of orange jam

早前為興祝10週年所選的 格蘭多納 24年1993 Cask 652就已經十分出色。另外，帶領格蘭多納的傳奇人物 Billy Walker在2017年直式接管格蘭艾樂奇，眾多酒友也發現作品水準上升。在現時格蘭多納價格愈來愈貴的情況下，不少鍾愛雪莉桶威士忌的酒友以此作為格蘭多納的替代品。
